Contractor Causes Fire at Florida Condo

NAVARRE BEACH, Florida – Pensacola News Journal reported that a roofing contractor doing repair work from Hurricane Sally unintentionally started a fire on the 14th floor of a Navarre Beach condominium complex on November 20.

Firefighters from Navarre Beach, Midway Fire District and Holley-Navarre Fire District responded to the two-alarm fire.

No one was injured in the fire, but one firefighter was treated on scene for exhaustion.

Firefighters evacuated the entire east tower as a precaution while they worked on the blaze.
