Dozens Displaced by Philadelphia High-Rise Fire

Center City fire quickly knocked down

 

 

CENTER CITY (WPVI) – An apartment fire at a Center City high-rise forced dozens of people out in the cold.

It happened at 13th and Walnut streets around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Firefighters saw smoke on an upper floor and were able to get the fire under control within 10 minutes.

The brief evacuation came as dangerously cold weather descended on the tristate area.
