Sprinkler system helps knock fire inside

ROCHESTER, New York – WHAM reports that a dumpster fire led to three people being hurt at a Rochester high-rise apartment building on Tuesday.
Firefighters responded to Seneca Manor Drive at approximately 3:00 p.m. and found a fire in a dumpster area. A
A second alarm was transmitted.

Firefighters had the fire extinguished in 20 minutes. The fire had extended into the first floor but was checked by sprinkler system.
Three residents were injured. None of the injuries were reported to be life-threatening.
