FARS Training Tower Tuesday – Meridian

Last year, the Firefighter Air Coalition donated firefighter air replenishment systems (FARS) to four fire department training towers. Every Tuesday in February, we’ll share short videos from Bellevue, WA, Grand Prairie, TX, Meridian, ID, and Round Rock, TX of firefighters using FARS.

Watch the extended version of our video from the recent FARS demo in Meridian (ID). See the system in action and hear Fire Chief Kris Blume, Mayor Robert Simison, and City Council President Treg Bernt talk about why FARS is important in a fast-growing city like Meridian. Developer Galena Equity Partners comments on bringing the state’s first FARS system in the state of Idaho to their new project, and the project architect talks about the ease of incorporating FARS into the building design.
