Fatal High-Rise Fire in Queens, NY

Fire on fifth floor of 12-story building

LOUDLABS NEWS NYC – REGO PARK, Queens (1.13.19) – One person was killed and multiple injured in a high rise apartment fire. This happened just before midnight around 11:55 pm, Saturday, at 87-30 62nd St, within the confines of the 112th Precinct. One person had CPR performed on them and was rushed to an area hospital.

There were 4 other injuries including a non-ambulatory conscious and alert middle-aged woman, an unconscious elderly woman, an ambulatory elderly man, and a firefighter with an arm injury. All were transported to an area hospital as well. NYPD transmitted a level 1 mobilization and SRG was on scene to provide assistance.
