Part of crane became unstable at a 31-story building

BROOKLYN, New York – The FDNY responded at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Thursday to an unstable crane at a high-rise building on Commercial and Clay streets in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
No one was injured and buildings nearby were evacuated.
It is unknown what caused the partial collapse of the crane.
FDNY members are operating on scene of a crane incident at 2 Blue Slip in Brooklyn. The tower and crane cab remain secured in place. Currently no injuries have been reported. Operations continue to evaluate damage, stability, and integrity of the building and crane. pic.twitter.com/vtWj5yqgoo
