Honolulu Firefighters Respond to Rooftop High-Rise Fire

Fire on the roof of a 40-story residential high-rise

 

 

HONOLULU (KHON2) – Honolulu firefighters responded to a blaze at a high-rise in Kakaako Monday night.

The first HFD unit arrived at 10:35 p.m. to find a 40-story residential building with flames visible on the roof. A stack of construction materials was found burning on the rooftop.

The fire was brought under control at 10:59 p.m. and was extinguished at 11:17 p.m.
