Indiana Fire Departments Join for High-Rise Training

Building boom brings together Lafayette and West Lafayette

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – Lafayette and West Lafayette Fire Departments’ new training program will test their high-rise emergency response skills.

According to Deputy Chief Jeff Need, plans for such a training program have been in the works for a while. But he said there hasn’t been a better time for training than now.

“Lafayette and West Lafayette and really the county in general is expanding. Obviously we have structures going taller in West Lafayette than we’ve ever had,” said Need. MORE
