Fire on the 13th floor of a 45-story high-rise commercial building in Midtown Manhattan. 3/21/18

New York City Fire Department units responded to 512 7th Avenue in the Garment District in Midtown Manhattan to reports of a smoke condition on the 13th floor in a Midtown high-rise.

On arrival units had one 10-45 Code 4 (Fire Related Injury, Green Tag) and FDNY Battalion 9 transmitted the 10-76 (Hi-Rise Commercial Fire).

Members quickly extinguished an electrical fire with a dry chemical extinguisher and EMS treated one patient for smoke inhalation.

Additional units were called in and the fire was placed Under Control within an hour.
