Fire on the ninth floor of a Montgomery County high-rise

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (ABC7) — A huge fire at a high-rise apartment building has led to the evacuation of residents early Tuesday morning in Kensington.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue officials do not have reports of injuries at this time.
The three-alarm fire broke out at the Waterford Apartments located at 3343 University Blvd.
Officials say the blaze occurred on the ninth floor with smoke conditions visible from the apartment’s upper floors.
A majority of the fire has been extinguished, and there are over 100 firefighters on the scene.
