One Dead in Vancouver High-Rise Fire

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Global News reports that one person is dead after a fire in a Vancouver high-rise.

Firefighters responded to a fire on the 11th floor of an apartment building at Pendrell and Gilford Streets on Saturday evening.

The fire department stated that a 75-year-old man who was injured in the fire died on Sunday.

The cause of the fire is believed to be related to smoking.
