Pennsylvania Firefighters Respond to Fire in High-Rise for Seniors

Small fire at Leighton Elderly Apartments

LEIGHTON, Pennsylvania – Times News reports Leighton firefighters responded to a fire at the Leighton Elderly Apartments at 101 South First Street.

Firefighters extinguished a small fire according to Fire Chief Pat Mriss.

“Minor damage contained to area of stove,” Mriss said. “An occupant from another apartment used a fire extinguisher.”

There were no reported injuries.
