South Carolina Considers High-Rise Safety Study

In the wake of the collapse of the Surfside condominiums in Florida, the South Carolina legislature will consider a proposal to assess the safety of high-rise buildings in the Palmetto State.

Beginning with a survey that details when and how often buildings are inspected, the legislation would tackle the issue of how often and by whom high-rises need to be evaluated, WPDE reports.
